The Paparazzi Are After Me…

Friday, July 4th, 2008

Today was my first 4th of July! I’m not sure what that means, but that’s what my mom and dad told me. I had a nice afternoon playing with my Nonno and Nanna who came up to eat brats and burgers. My Nanna brought some scrumptious lemon-basil pasta that I just loved and ate up!

Later this evening we’re going to watch the neighbor’s firework show, should be fun, I’ve never seen fireworks before! If I like them tonight, I may go see some more tomorrow night over in the town next door.

While waiting for the fireworks tonight, my mom and I went out to play in the yard. My mom got me this great new bucket that I love playing with, and of course the good old standby of the whiffle ball.

The weather was perfect, except the zanzara’s were out in full force. My mom put my hood up and that seemed to keep them at bay.

Shortly after we started playing, those pesky paparazzi showed up. I went after them and tried to take their camera’s, but they were able to get some photos of me, 90 to be exact.

I finally decided it was ok for them to be there, I think one of them might of been my dad, he kind of looked familiar, so I posed for a picture with my mom for them. I managed to get copies of some of the photos they took, and I posted them for all to see here:

So I hope you enjoy! If I get any good photos tonight of the fireworks, I’ll try and post them, but I might be too busy trying to make s’mores.

Houston I Have a Tooth… Sort Of…

Sunday, June 22nd, 2008

So a few days ago while I was sipping my water from my big boy cup, I heard this “clank” against the glass. Oh, what is that? Shortly after the “clank”, my dad was trying to open my mouth and look into it. I had heard my mom tell him earlier that I had a tooth, but I’m not sure what that means.

My dad eventually got to see inside my mouth and while there wasn’t quite a tooth yet, according to my dad, one is starting to emerge. Right now the tooth appears to just be sharp corner sticking out of my gums. I wonder if that’s why I’ve been chewing everything i can get my hands on.

Well since my last post, I’ve been a busy kid. I’m about 10 1/2 months now, and walk while holding my mom and dads hands with the best of them. My parent try and get me to just hold on with 1 hand, but time is money and it’s much faster to hold on with 2 hands or just crawl.

I also enjoy helping my mom fold laundry or pack my clothes for trips. Here my mom caught me trying to surprise her when I was attempting to pack for my trip to visit my grandparents in NY while my dad was in Las Vegas for work.

I got to drive out to NY with my mom and my Granpa Wragge. He flew out and stayed the night with us, and then we left the next morning for the drive out east. The drive is a long drive, but well worth it! I learned to drive the riding lawn mower when I was out there, and found out I’m a pretty good driver!

I also learned how much fun it is to just hang around and play in buckets full of weeds!

The trip was a lot of fun and I hope to go back this summer and spend more time out there!

Since the trip I haven’t been up to much, just hanging around the house.

I found out I’m a big fan of the Muppet’s! I’ve been watching the Manahmanah video on You Tube before I go to sleep. I’ve also found REM’s Furry Happy Monsters which I think is also a lot of fun to watch!

I look forward to seeing everyone soon, I’ve had a busy day, I’m off to bed!

Yes yes, it’s true, this is a new post!

Sunday, April 13th, 2008

So this has been a busy couple of months, and I’ve been a total slacker posting updates about me. I wish I could blame it on having homework or something, but I’m not in school yet, so I can’t use that excuse. With this post I’m trying something new, Picasa web album. I’ve been posting the previous pictures up at the gallery at foggi.net but with Picasa and the new Google website stuff I’m debating moving foggi.net to google’s webhosting which is free. Of course I’ll have to see what my dad thinks, but he might go for it.

At anyrate, Google’s got this nice little slideshow function, which is playing above, what do you think? You can see all those pictures at my latest web album here:

http://picasaweb.google.com/nicola.foggi/Jacob20080413

Anyway, on to the good stuff..The baseball regular season has started, and of course I’m a Cub’s fan.

I’m hoping my dad can come up with some tickets to take me down to a game. I don’t have a baseball glove yet, but I’ll try and catch a foul ball anyway. My Uncle Stefano did at a game once, so why can’t I?

Hmmm, what other updates could I give you. I’m working on learning how to crawl, but I find walking much more fascinating and fun, so maybe I’ll just set my sights on that instead. I still need help walking, but now I can walk with just someone holding my hands and helping me balance a little.

I’m still growing, I’ve probably got a long way to go, but just the other week I had to move up to a new sleep sack and SIZE 4 diapers. My mom and dad had to go buy me some new clothes and the only ones that were long enough were 24 month clothes. They are a little baggy, but anything smaller wasn’t long enough.

Well, that’s it for now! Make sure you check out my new pictures at my web album by clicking here Hopefully I’ll have updates more often, but no promises! I’ve got a busy couple weeks ahead of me of sleeping, playing, eating, walking, and sleeping some more!

My Christmas Adventures (a little late)

Sunday, January 13th, 2008

Ho Ho Ho! December was a busy month for me! Besides all of the growing and learning I’ve been doing, I also made a trip with my Mom and Dad to New York to visit my Grandma and Grandpa, my Uncle Brian and Aunt Dawn, and all of my other cousins and Aunts and Uncles. I even got to meet my Great Grandma! It was a long car ride but I selpt a lot and got to play with my Mom and Dad all the way there and back!

This is my Grandma and me! She had lots of toys for me to play with at her house so my Mom and Dad did’nt have to bring all of my toys from home. I even had my own highchair to sit in! I did’nt really like it at first, but I got used to it and had a lot of fun playing while everyone ate dinner.

We went to my Aunt Audery and Uncle Doug’s Christmas Eve and took lots of pictures! I got to hang out with everyone and play with the wrapping paper durning the gift exchange. This is a picture of four generations of my family, my Great Grandma, Ione, My (Great) Aunt Audery, my (Second) cousin, Kristin, and my (third) cousin Josie!

Now this is a good picture! It has me in it! This is another four generation picture, My Great Grandma, Ione, my Grandpa, Arden, and my Mom and I.

Here I am gettting some love from my cousin Josie!

My Grandpa and I taking a quiet moment to relax.

When we returned home from New York, we got to have a second Christmas in Evanston at my Nanna and Nonno’s house! Here I am showing off how well I can sit up now, all by myself! My Nanna gave my a soft furry puppy to play with and of course my favorite toy - the wrapping paper!

After a quick change of clothes due to some dirty diaper I was hearing about, I played with more toys!

One of my favorite things to do every night is play with my Dad before I go to bed, here I am showing him one of the toys my Grandma and Grandpa got me for Christmas.

At my Nanna and Nonno’s we all kept busy before dinner, Uncle Stefano was trying to play something on the piano I think, it did’nt sound like anything I know though.

Here I am relaxing with my Nanna.

I’m Practicing to Be Like Mike

Wednesday, November 7th, 2007

So I’ve been told that there was a basketball player named Michael Jordan once who liked to stick out his tongue when playing basketball, so I’ve been practicing to be like Mike, which was also supposedly a commerical back way before I was born.

I’ve been growing and growing, at last weigh in, I was 13 lbs 9oz or so! Grandma and Grandpa Wragge came for a visit, I hadn’t seen them in a while so it was nice! I had a fun time with Grandpa Wragge, the picture below was before I had a little diaper mishap while he was playing with me.

That same weekend, I saw Uncle Stefano again, we had some good hamburgers on the grill. The other day my mom took me to Gurnee Mills and I had a grand old time checking out all the things! It was exhausting, but I love going new places and looking around!

I’m growing up nice and big, but I still haven’t learned how to change my own diaper yet, but I’m working on it. I hope to start crawling soon so I don’t have to rely on my parents to take me around everywhere. I really enjoy my tummy time that my parent’s give me, but I think it’s over rated. I would prefer just to start walking and skip the crawling, but I’ll go with the flow.

At anyrate, the holiday’s are coming up soon, I’ll be staying in Illinois for Thanksgiving, and then going to New York for Christmas, so I’ll be seeing plenty of family, and probably have lots of pictures.

I hope to see everyone soon! Check out my new pictures in the photo gallery!

Invasion of the Tribbles!

Sunday, October 7th, 2007

I was minding my own business when suddenly Tribble Invasion 2007 was in full force! (If you don’t know what a Tribble is click on the word Tribble for the Wikipedia article) My mom came to my rescue, but I thought they were gonna start multiplying. It turns out they were really just our cats. I still haven’t socialized with the cats, they ignore me as I don’t know how to pet them yet, so I have nothing they want.

However, I have gotten some of my dance moves down, check me out grooving to The Itsy Bitsy Spider:

dancing

This upcoming week is going to be busy, I get to see my farm Grandma and Grandpa Wragge, and my uncle Stefano will be in town again, which is good since I need to work on my baseball bat swinging some more.

I’m not looking forward to tomorrow, I have to go to the Dr, and get a myriad of shots, do you think if I just tell the doc that I’m really superman, and can’t get sick that he’ll skip them?

Not much has really happened the past 2 weeks, just chilled at home! My Nana Foggi did come and stay with me on Friday which was nice while my mom ran some errands! I unfortunately was a little grumpy, but hopefully she’ll come back and watch me again!

She also did bring me a slew of clothes that she found at a store that is going out of business! It’s been a little hot this past week (hence the pictures of me just sporting my diaper) so I won’t really be able to wear them until it cools off, but then I’ll have pleny of pictures of me sporting my new threads.

I look forward to seeing everyone again soon!  In the mean time check out my new photos posted in my photo gallery!

I’m Practicing for the Dentist!

Sunday, September 23rd, 2007

Ahh

Hey Everyone!

I hope you all have been doing well! I’ve been hanging around the house the past 2 weeks, but I did get to go to the doctor and find out that I’m now 10lbs 9oz! Can you believe it? I’m getting so big!

My mom and I were playing in this picture, she was teaching me how to prepare to go to the dentist! I like to play, it doesn’t matter where or when, it’s just so much fun!

I had a little cold, just some nasal congestion, but a couple shots of saline up my nose and that crazy blue snot-grabber-sucker thing, and I was all set! My dad started with the cold, then I got it, and now my mom has it, so hopefully we’ll be done with it soon!

Uncle Brian came out to meet me also! He had to go back today, but I had fun with him also! There are some pictures in the photo gallery of us playing together. We went out to one of the Forest Preserve sites and they pushed me all around in my stroller, it was so nice that I just decided to sleep the whole time, well, at least until I got hungry. Last night we went over and played poker with the Olee’s, they told me I was too young to play, so I just slept. I enjoy sleeping just as much as I enjoy playing!

Well, off to bed I go! Hope to see everyone soon!

It’s been a busy 4 weeks!

Saturday, September 8th, 2007

Hey Everyone!

I’m 4 weeks and a couple days old now, and I’ve had such a busy time that I haven’t even had time to update my website (ok, my dad didn’t have time to update it, but he’s been busy)

In the past couple of weeks I’ve done all sorts of things, met lots of people, and grown! I also lost some of my hair, but they tell me it’s going to grow back. So a couple weeks ago I met my Aunt Dawn and Grandma Wragge. I had all sorts of fun with them, we went shopping, out to eat (Thank you Grandpa Wragge for buying me lunch) , got lots of fun stuff, new clothes, and had lots of time with everyone!

Here’s one of my first photos with Aunt Dawn!

Aunt Dawn

I had to say goodbye to my Aunt Dawn after a couple of days, but Grandma Wragge stayed for a whole week!! I had so much fun!

I also got to meet my Uncle Stefano who flew up from Florida just to visit me! His trip was really short, but it was fun to meet him also! I think he might teach me to play baseball when I grow up.

Uncle Stefano

After Uncle Stefano’s visit I got to meet my Great Aunt Jackie who was on her way to Wisconsin so stopped by! She stayed with me both on her way to Wisconsin and on her way home! It was so nice to meet her also, I enjoyed sitting with her while my mom tried to catch a couple extra Zzz’s since I’ve been still eating every couple of hours.

I hope she comes back to visit again, or maybe I’ll fly down to see her and Great Uncle Gregg and my Great Grandma and Granpa in Florida!

Great Aunt Jackie

I’ve had such a busy time that I haven’t even noticed I’ve grown, but everyone tells me that I have! I’m learning to play on my new tummy time mat that plays all sorts of music!

Tummy Time Mat

I’ll try to update the website more often as hopefully I won’t be as tired during the day since I’m hoping to get more sleep at night.  See everyone soon!

Things That Make You Go Hmmm….

Friday, August 17th, 2007

So this growing up thing is pretty easy… i sleep, eat, use my diaper, sleep eat, etc… Last night I ventured out and met some more neighbors, Hi Mr. Kevin and Ms. Lisa! This morning I’m just chilling. I’m waiting for my dad to get me my own laptop so I don’t have to wait for him to be done with the computer, soon I hope!

In the mean time, I’ll just reflect and wait for people to take pictures of me.

hmmm

This Strange Place They Call Home

Thursday, August 9th, 2007

Hey Everyone!

My mom and dad brought me home yesterday to this place they call home. I got here, and had one furry little creature named Zorro’s come up and give me a sniff, but other than that I just hung out. I think this will be my schedule for awhile:

Midnight - 2am : Sit with my dad, if I can’t sleep, why should he?

2am - 4am : Ok, now I’ll sit with my mom, she got some sleep, she needs to get up

4am - 6am : Hmmm… I ate at 4am, I can take a nap for awhile

6am - Noon : Lounge Around, make sure people are paying attention to me

Noon - 10pm : More of the Same

10pm - Midnight : I’ll fake them out, I’ll go to sleep so they think I’ll be good tonight

My parents kept on trying to take pictures of me today, I’m not too fond of that camera thing, it’s bright when it flashes at me. It looks like they got one good picture in when I was asleep! I hear they posted a couple of other pictures of me in the photo gallery.
